Description

Volunteer Wrestling Coach Fall 2023 through Spring 2024 | HeadHunters Wrestling | September 1, 2023, through June 1, 2024

This opportunity is to be a volunteer coach with the Vipers Wrestling Program.

PLEASE NOTE: You must complete the below Coaches & Administrators Registry Requirements prior to being approved for this opportunity.

Minimum age is 18. Those under the age of 18 interested in assisting with this program, should reach out to the coordinator for approval prior to signing up. Minors are required to provide a work permit issued by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licenses and Regulation (DLLR).

Coaches & Administrators Registry Requirements
The following items are required to complete the Coaches Registry. Photo and certificates must be uploaded in the attachment section of your profile once complete.

• Color head shot. The photo will be used for your coaching badge. Sunglasses should not be worn in the photo.


• CPR / AED / First Aid Certification. All new and returning coaches are required to have a current CPR / First Aid certificate uploaded to their profile to remain active on the Coaches Registry. If you are not currently certified in CPR / First- Aid, plesase request a code to take an online course. There is no fee to take this course, however a code is required to access it online. You can request a code when signing up as a "new volunteer". Codes are not sent immediately. Codes are sent within 1-2 business days after they are requested. A certificate of completion should be added to your volunteer profile once completed. Please note that you should use either Chrome or Firefox to access the CPR Course.


• Completion of the National Federation of High School's Concussion Course. Course can be taken at https://nfhslearn.com/courses/concussion-in-sports-2. Once on the site, select Maryland from the dropdown that says, "Please select your state" and then click order course. If a new user, register as a new user to begin. A certificate of completion should be added to your volunteer profile once completed.


• Annual background review. A link will be available on your dashboard within 1-2 business days after you attach your CPR certificate to your profile. Please note: background checks typically take 7 -10 business days to process, once they are requested.
